This past summer, I had an amazing opportunity to travel to Canada to learn about their legal system. The trip included a visit to Ottawa and Quebec City. As a forensic science student, this was eye opening on so many levels. Canada may be a part of North America, but it felt like I was in Europe. The legal system is a mixture of both France's and England's. The architecture was also similar to European styles. Old Quebec City looked so similar to France and everything was in French as well. It was a culture shock since majority of Canadians spoke French and English. Even though the trips focus was on the legal system, I learned many things about Canada's history and culture. It is a wonderful country that I wish to travel back to one day. This trip was a life changing experience and it was worth being a part of.
